Henry's research this summer will investigate the effects of an anisotropically expanding universe, investigating a class of space-time metrics known as Bianchi metrics. He will compare the evolution of these metrics with random initial conditions to type 1a supernova data to determine what sets of initial conditions would be expected for each metric.
