Max Swanson
Biography
Max Swanson is a physics and math major in the class of 2029. He read a book on supernovas in high school and became interested in cosmology and astronomy. He also really enjoyed his physics classes and teacher in high school, and decided that was what he wanted to study in college. Currently, Max is studying the axion and its associated complex field. The axion is a potential dark matter candidate, and its complex field may have driven inflation. Max has always enjoyed looking at how mathematics shows up in various fields. Modeling the universe using numerical simulations, therefore, has become of great interest to him.
Outside of Hayes, Max likes to play hacky sack, lift, run, and play guitar. He also is in a band with a couple of guys and really likes practicing at the horn with them.
