Patrick Shaw

Patrick is a junior physics major at Kenyon College hailing from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Since high school he knew that he was destined for a career in physics. He was excited to join the Kenyon College Cosmology Group in 2016 and continued researching ever since. He thinks Cosmology is one of the most exciting areas of research because of how it incorporates so many different kinds of fundamental physics. He is interested in exploring how the multitude of axion fields present in axiverse models could function as dark energy using CUDA enabled GABE. In the rare moments when he removes his CUDA cap, Patrick enjoys searching for pulsars in the Kenyon College Astronomy/ARCC group and playing guitar in the Kenyon College Jazz ensemble. Contrary to popular belief he does not like anime.
