Hillary Child '13, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, is a Physics major at Kenyon College. She worked with a diamond-tip anvil cell in a high-pressure physics laboratory at Washington State University for one summer, then joined the cosmology group as a sophomore. She has since spent her time simulating the evolution of various cosmological scalar fields with the aid of LatticeEasy. Hillary hopes to continue in physics as a graduate student. Her other interests include languages (she is minoring in Russian, and currently studying abroad in Irkutsk), cookbooks, playing the oboe, and sports on skis.
