Bio:

Maria

Maria Huey is a member of the class of 2021 at Kenyon College. She previously attended McAuley High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Shortly upon entering into her first year at Kenyon, she knew she wanted to be a part of the physics department and declared her major. She began attending COSMO group meetings in January of 2018 and entered into the Cosmology Lab in the summer of 2018 as a Cascade Scholar. Maria has had no prior experience with coding and so is learning how to acquire this skill by converting files produced by GABE into HDF5 files and then producing 3D plots from those files. Maria was the Vice President of the Society of Physics Students her freshman year and was a part of Professor Tom Giblin’s Independent Study [0].

This year, Maria is looking to study dark matter on galactic scales.

When she isn’t doing physics, you may find her dancing.
