Patrick Shaw

Patrick is a junior physics major at Kenyon College hailing from Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Since high school he knew that he was destined for a career in physics. He was excited to join the Kenyon College Cosmology Group in 2016 and continued on to do summer research in 2017 through the Kenyon College Summer Science Scholars program. He thinks Cosmology is one of the most exciting areas of research because of how it incorporates so many different parts of physics. He is interested in exploring early universe oscillon dynamics using CUDA enabled GABE. In the rare moments when he removes his CUDA cap Patrick enjoys searching for pulsars in the Kenyon College Astronomy/ARCC group and playing guitar in the Kenyon College Jazz ensemble. Contrary to popular belief he does not like anime.
