Rachel Nguyen

Rachel is a physics major in the Class of 2019. She is from New Orleans, Louisiana where she attended St. Mary’s Dominican High School. She began an independent study in cosmology the second semester of her sophomore year, and she began research the following summer. Rachel’s research consists of using GABEnewton to search for axion dark matter in a Klein-Gordon picture.

Outside of physics, Rachel works as a Research and Reference Intern at the library and picks up odd jobs around the Math and Physics Departments. When she not working she enjoys finding dogs to play with, attempting to finish her ten year long cross-stitch project, finding knitting patterns, and learning to play the piano.
